Step-By-Step-Guide To Roasting Spaghetti Squash

Roast

1. Preheat oven, cut gourd in half.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Then cut the gourd in half using a sharp knife. Spaghetti squash are very difficult to cut. Use the tip of the knife to break the skin and pull down using the rest of the blade. (Please be careful!)

Remove seeds.

Use a spoon to remove all of the seeds. This step is harder, because it is still uncooked, but its not that bad. You can save the seeds and roast later for a light snack.

Season, cool, and cool.

Drizzle two tablespoons of olive oil or Avocado oil and season with salt and pepper. Place the two halves cut -side down on a baking sheet. (Easy clean-up) Cook for at lease 45 minutes. When it’s done you’ll know, you can easily stick a fork into the skin. Let cool for at lease 10 minutes.

Gentle pull strands..

Use a fork to pull the spaghetti-like strands from the gourd. Make sure to line up the fork with the direction of the stands on the squash. You can pull the strands into bowl, and they are ready to eat.

Now that you have done all the hard work you can add extra topping to add flavor.
